Pumpkin Glutinous Rice Balls (Cantonese Snack)

Pumpkin: appropriate amount
Glutinous rice flour: appropriate amount


Brown sugar: appropriate amount


Roasted peanuts: appropriate amount


Raisins: appropriate amount


Dried cranberries: appropriate amount


1. Steam the pumpkin slices until cooked.


2. Mash the pumpkin while hot, then add glutinous rice flour.


3. Knead into a dough.


4. Divide into small portions and shape into round balls, similar to tangyuan.
5. Bring water to a boil and add the glutinous rice balls.


6. Cook until the rice balls float to the surface, then remove them.


7. Boil 50g of brown sugar with 70g of water to make a syrup.


8. Place the cooked rice balls into the syrup and cook for one minute.


9. Arrange the rice balls on a plate.


10. Prepare crushed roasted peanuts, raisins, and dried cranberries.


11. Sprinkle the ingredients from the previous step over the rice balls.


12. Drizzle with the syrup and serve.
